Laminated elastic bearings

Laminated elastic bearings

Material: Rubber

Model: Standard size, Customized

Shape: Round, Rectangular

Use: Shock absorption, Cushioning

Plate rubber bearings are made of multiple layers of natural rubber pads that are vulcanized, bonded, and then sandwiched with steel bars. They have sufficient rigidity and elasticity to transfer all the loads on the bridge span structure to the bridge piers, and can withstand the horizontal displacement, rotation, and deformation caused by the load.

Plate rubber bearings can reduce the vibration of the bridge piers and absorb the horizontal movement of the bridge span structure caused by temperature changes and thermal expansion.

Structure:

Plate rubber bearing pads can be divided into standard plate bearing pads and sliding plate bearing pads.

Standard plate rubber bearing pads are composed of natural rubber or neoprene and reinforced steel plate.
Sliding laminated bearing pads are composed of natural rubber or neoprene, reinforced steel plate and polytetrafluoroethylene sliding plate.

Features:

  • Great for horizontal movement
  • Low coefficient of friction
  • Absorbs vibration and isolates sound
  • Easy to install
  • Can be used in very low temperatures

Application:

  • Laminated bearings are suitable for bridges with a span of no more than 30m and small displacement requirements.
  • The right bridge is suitable for rectangular plate bearings
  • Circular plate bearings are suitable for curved bridges, pier bridges or skew bridges
  • PTFE plate bearings are suitable for bridges with large displacements such as large spans, multi-span continuous beams and simply supported beams

Classification:

  • Structure: ordinary plate rubber bearing, PTFE plate rubber bearing
  • Shape: rectangular plate rubber bearing, circular plate rubber bearing
  • Function: fixed bearing, sliding bearing
  • Usage conditions:                              normal temperature bearing: natural rubber (NR) applicable temperature: -25℃ to 60℃                                                                 Cold-resistant bearing: chloroprene rubber (CR) applicable temperature: -40℃ to 60℃
