Rubber Bearing
Laminated and seismic isolation rubber bearings for vertical load transfer, beam rotation, thermal movement and vibration control.
Product Overview
Core load-transfer component between bridge girder and pier
Rubber bearing is installed between the bridge superstructure and the pier or abutment. Natural rubber and thickened steel plates are bonded through high-temperature vulcanization to form a compact, durable bearing body.
Its elastic deformation supports vertical loads, accommodates beam rotation and thermal movement, and reduces impact from traffic, temperature variation and seismic action.
Main Functions
Load, Rotation, Movement and Vibration Control
Vertical Load Transfer
Transfers girder loads safely to the pier and abutment through reinforced rubber layers.
Beam Rotation
Elastic deformation accommodates beam-end rotation caused by loading and structural deflection.
Thermal Movement
Supports longitudinal and transverse movement from temperature change, shrinkage and creep.
Impact Buffering
Reduces dynamic impact and vibration transmitted by moving vehicles to the substructure.
Seismic Energy Dissipation
HDR and LRB systems absorb seismic energy and reduce structural response in high-seismic regions.
Low Maintenance
Standard laminated bearings have a simple structure and require little routine maintenance.
Laminated Rubber Bearing
Standard Choice for Small and Medium Span Bridges
Standard Laminated Bearing
Multiple layers of natural rubber and thin steel plates are vulcanized into one body. Available as rectangular GJZ and circular GYZ models.
For 8-30 m simply supported T-girders, hollow slabs and small box girders.PTFE Sliding Bearing
GJZF4 and GYZF4 bearings use a 1.5-3 mm PTFE sliding layer with stainless steel plate to create a low-friction movement surface.
For expansion positions requiring larger longitudinal displacement.Seismic Isolation Bearings
HDR and LRB bearings for high-seismic projects
High-damping rubber bearings (HDR) and lead-rubber bearings (LRB) combine structural support with seismic isolation and energy dissipation. During an earthquake, they extend the structural period and absorb vibration energy to reduce bridge damage.
Product Advantages
Built for Long-Term Bridge Service
Strict Raw Materials
Weather-resistant natural rubber with anti-aging and ozone-resistant formulation for stable use from -40 C to +60 C.
Integrated Vulcanization
Steel and rubber are bonded without gaps to resist delamination, compression and tearing.
Strong Movement Adaptability
Accommodates rotation and longitudinal or transverse displacement from temperature and traffic action.
Full Customization
Standard stock and custom dimensions, load capacity, cold-resistant and anti-corrosion designs are available.
Complete Quality Records
Each batch can include factory certificate, mechanical test report and third-party inspection support.
Matching Accessories
Embedded steel plates, leveling plates and bearing grout can be supplied together.

Installation Notes
Correct leveling and alignment protect bearing performance
- Bearing pad stone concrete strength should be at least C30, with elevation error controlled within 2 mm.
- Place the bearing centrally without eccentric compression, suspended edges or uneven contact.
- Align the PTFE sliding direction with the designed bridge expansion direction.
- Keep mortar and debris away from the sliding surface during girder construction.
- Set the designed pre-offset for large-movement seismic and sliding bearings.
Applications
Bridge, railway and structural isolation projects
Rubber bearings are used in highway bridges, railway bridges, municipal viaducts, interchanges, tunnels, aqueducts, utility corridors, large building isolation systems and overseas infrastructure projects.
